STATE THEATRE

| “GREAT GUNS.” “Great Guns” will be finally shown tonight. “THANKS A MILLION.” There will be an outstanding double programme at the State Theatre tomorrow night, headed by “Thanks a Million” and “The Man at the Gate.” The combination of these two pictures provides. a bill of fare which patrons should appreciate. The acting in both is of a high standard and each picture has a particularly interesting story to tell. In “Thanks a Million,” will be found a musical comedy of a type that will be welcomed by patrons who appreciate only the best in pictures. The leading roles are in the hands of Dick Powell and Ann Dvorak‘while Paul Whiteman’s Band will be heard at their best. In “The Man at the Gate” there are scenes in which outstanding acting is witnessed as was to be expected when the chief character is portrayed by Wilfrid Lawson, the “Doolittle” of “Pygmalion.”
