NO MAJOR CHANGE
REPORTED ON RUSSIAN FRONT THAW MAY- SLOW DOWN OPERATIONS. ACCORDING TO REPORTS REACHING LONDON. LONDON, April 6. There is no news of any important change on the Russian front during the past 24 hours. Reports reaching London suggest that the spring thaw may mean a six weeks’ lull before the ground is fit for any large-scale operations. LENINGRAD RAID HEAVY NAZI AIR LOSSES. LONDON. April 5. Moscow radio states that 18 German bombers were destroyed and 13 damaged in a 60-minute raid on Leningrad on Saturday night. The raiders came over in three waves and dropped bombs haphazardly in the residential districts. There were some casualties. One Soviet fighter was lost.
