LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST COLD CHANGE. SOUTHERLY COMING TOMORROW. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: West to north-west winds, strong to gale force with mainly fair weather at first, but southerly change tomorrow with showers and cold temperatures. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Cold and changeable. LOCAL REPORT. Mr N. W. Towns reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 8 a.m. today:— Barograph, 29.82. Shade temperature: Maximum 73.1, minimum 62.8. terrestrial 60.9. Sunshine, 1 hour 48 min. Rain, 8 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 24 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday, and 16 points during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. PHASES OF THE MOON. Last quarter, April 8. New moon, April 16. First quarter, April 24. Draw blinds at 6.45 p.m. today; raise ; them at 6.12 a.m. tomorrow.
