HOME GUARD

MASTERTON BATTALION ROUTINE ORDERS. CLASSES, PARADES & OTHER ACTIVITIES. Routine orders issued by Major A. C. Hibbs, commanding the Masterton Battalion of the Home Guard are as follows: — Classes: N.C.O. class, Tuesday, April 7, at 7.0 p.m. at the Municipal Hall. Special coaching class: This class will be held at the Municipal Hall on Thursday, April 9, at 7.0 p.m. Parades: A Coy.: Weekend bivouac, Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5. Parade in accordance vzith arrangements made by Company Commander. C Coy.: Weekend bivouac, Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5. Parade at Municipal Hall at 10.0 a.m. Saturday, returning Sunday at 4 p.m. H-Q. Coy.: Platoons will parade according to individual arrangements. Other centres will adhere • to individual arrangements. Transfers, promotions and appointments: B Coy.: C.Q.M.S. G. G. Beard to be Platoon Commander No. 2 Platoon. C Coy.: E. K. Eastwood to be Corporal. Marched out: A Coy.: Captain W. Howard to Group H-Q; N. F. Norris to Territorials; S. Pounceby to E.F.S. ESSENTIAL WORK. FULL MUSTER REQUESTED AT WEEKEND. As certain essential work must be completed this weekend a full muster of the Masterton Home Guard units is required at the weekend bivouac to be held on Saturday and Sunday. Members are asked to treat the matter as urgent and attend the parade if it is at all possible.
