NEW DRUG
ANNOUNCED IN AMERICA. SUBSTITUTE FOR MORPHINE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) (Received This Day. 9.50 a.m.) BOSTON, April 1. A non-habit forming substitute for morphine was announced today by the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. The new drug is made by the transformation of atropine into synthetic morphine. Detailed effects of the, new drug on 100 cases were reported’ by two New York doctors.
