GREYTOWN
CALL TO PRAYER SERVICES WELL ATTENDED. (“Times-Age" Special.) The church services held at Greytown yesterday were well attended. Special reference was made to the call to prayer from his Majesty the King. Home Guard. South Wairarapa Home Guard companies spent the weekend carryingout operations in the Lower Valley, and received a contribution of mushrooms to their rations. The paddocks are covered with mushrooms. Soldiers’ Club. The Soldiers’ Club room was well patronised at the weekend, and the Sunday evening tea saw a happy party, who did full justice to the fare provided by the ladies’ committee. Personal. Mr F. J. Brooks is at present an inmate of the Greytown Hospital. TOWN HALL TOMORROW’S PROGRAMME. A most interesting story is told in “Cheers for Miss Bishop.” which will be shown tomorrow night, and in which the leading roles will be taken by Martha Scott, Edmund Gwenn and William Gargan.
