OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS
COLLEGE ELECTION (To the Editor.) Sir, —I have received a voting paper for the election of the College Board. Would you be good enough- to let me, and others who are interested, know which of the five candidates are parents of children now attending the CoL lege? I believe that several of the appointed members of the board have not, or never have had, children of their own attending the school, and while this may perhaps be all right I feel that those who are to represent the parents (cnly three out of nine members) should themselves be parents of pupils now in attendance.—l am, etc., A PARENT. Masterton, March 29. According to Mr H. M. Boddington; secretary of the Wairarapa College Board of Governors, four of the five candidates standing for the three vacancies to be filled by parents’ representatives have children at the college. These are Messrs W. L. Butler, J. G. McFarlane, S. V. Playsted and A. J. Towns. As to the appointed members three have children at the college and three have not.
