KINSMEN’S CLUBS

. CAMPAIGN TO SECURE MILK. FOR CHILDREN IN BOMBED AREAS. OTTAWA, March 18. Eighty-eight Kinsmen’s clubs in Canada and Newfoundland are campaigning for an additional million quarts of milk lor children in the bombed areas in Britain. Following a convention last August the Kinsmen’s clubs promised to send 1,500,000 quarts of milk for British children. That objective was passed over three months ahead of the scheduled time. Funds are raised by the Kinsmen through sponsored activities such as games, auctions, carnivals, mile of pennies and radio appeals. The milk is shipped overseas in powder and there reconverted to fluid milk- and served to children by women’s voluntary services in districts where the need is greatest.
