SIR STAFFORD CRIPPS HOPEFUL RESULTS OF TALKS SO FAR ENCOURAGING. BRITISH ATTITUDE DEFINED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, March 26. Sir Stafford Cripps conferred in New Delhi yesterday with representatives of the Indian princes. One of his visitors today will be Mr Gandhi. Although Mr Gandhi is no longer an official representative of the Congress Party it was never doubted that he would be consulted. Sir Stafford Cripps said the British Government had no thought of adopting a take it or leave it attitude. The War Cabinet had agreed unanimously on fundamental principles and would not depart from these principles, but was prepared to consider adjustments. The results of the talks he had had with leaders were so far encouraging.
