PATRIOTIC APPEAL

MASTERTON MINISTERS GIVE SUPPORT. METHOD OF COLLECTION APPROVED. The Patriotic Committee have received the following statement from the ministers of Masterton and their support is warmly welcomed by the executive:— “We, the undersigned ministers of Masterton, congratulate the executive of the Patriotic Association on their decision to collect their funds by direct giving. This method is in harmony with the principles of the teaching of the Christian Church and we wholeheartedly commend the appeal to the generosity and practical support of every citizen." The statement is signed by the Right Rev John Davie, the Revs. lan C. Edwards, H. S. Kings, A. C. Lane and David McNeur, the Rev. Father N. Moore and the Ven. Archdeacon E. J. Rich.
