WEDDING

SMITH—BARTON

A pretty wedding took place at Christ’s Church, Wanganui, last weekend, when Miss Marjorie Jean Barton, twin daughter of Mr and Mrs A. A. Barton, of Wanganui, was married to Flying Officer Robert John Smith, third son of Mr R. J. Smith, of Masterton. The bride’s twin sister acted as bridesmaid, and Flying Officer D. McMillan, of Ohakea, was best man. Archdeacon Young conducted the service. After the ceremony about 90 guests were entertained at the home of the bride’s parents in Shakespeare Road. Mr and Mrs Smith’s future home will be in Christchurch.
