MASTERTON BRANCH. LADIES’ AUXILIARY MEETING. A special meeting of the committee of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Navy League was held yesterday afternoon, Mrs S. R. Gawith presiding. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames O. A. Bunny, J. C. Forsyth, C. Deans, W. R. Birch and Misses Cameron and B. Barton. The meeting was called for the purpose of, making arrangements to assist with the patriotic shop which is to be conducted by women’s organisations during the next six weeks. The Navy League will be in charge of the shop on Wednesday, April 8, and Friday, April 24. The committee resolved to communicate with all members before April 8, requesting donations of produce, etc., and expressed the hope that the response to this appeal would ensure the success of the Navy League effort.
