SECOND FRONT
OPENING URGED BY GENERAL SIKORSKI. - IN ORDER TO AID RUSSIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) MONTREAL, March 22. " The Polish Premier, General Sikorski, urged the United Nations to open a second front against Germany andalso to rush more equipment to Russia as the two most essential moves for ending the war. He said that, despite the Japanese successes in the Pacific, Germany remained the country where the war must be won and Europe was the most important field. He declared that the Polish army in Russia was expanding rapidly and would soon take its place in the front lines as a fully-equipped force. He also revealed that other Polish formations were being created for service in the Middle East and North Africa as well as England. General Sikorski is en route to Washington to see President Roosevelt and will stay there 10 days. He is accompanied by five Polish leaders, including the Chief of the General Staff.
