CONN & LOUIS

IDEAS ABOUT COMING BOUT. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) NEW YORK, March 22. Among 2000 soldiers at Fort Dix watching Joe Louis in an exhibition work-out in preparation for his forthcoming bout against Abe\Simon, was Private Billy Conn, who is scheduled to meet Louis next June. Conn commented: “Maybe he is having a day off, but he looks so slow that I cannot believe he is the guy who knocked me out last June. I guess it is old age catching up with him. I know I will lick him next time. He has lost his stuff.” Conn later visited the dressing-room. Louis looked at Conn’s new uniform and yelled, “Hey, they got you too.”
