ST. PATRICK’S CONCERT

ENJOYABLE PROGRAMME. A very enjoyable concert was held in St Patrick's Flail last evening to commemorate St. Patrick’s Day. The hall was packed by an enthusiastic audience. Each item was heartily applauded and encores were given in all cases.

The programme was as follow:— Violin solo, Mr J. Gallagher; song, Mr T. Vaughan; Irish jig, Master J. Ryan; song, Miss Beulah Hirst; pianoforte solo, Sergt. Orwin; solo dance, Miss Joan Tandy; song, Miss Denise Mahoney; sailor’s hornpipe, Miss Edna Corlett; song, Mr R. Gilbert. The accompaniments were played by Miss M. Nee, Mrs Edna Paterson, Mrs J. R. Dickson and Mr Max Corlett. At the conclusion of the concert programme dancing was indulged in until midnight.
