STORM DEVASTATION
MANY KILLED OR INJURED IN U.S.A. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) NEW YORK, March 17. A devastating series of tornadoes swept through six southern and midwestern States on Monday, killing, it is reported, 120 persons and injuring approximately 700 and destroying thousands of dollars worth of property. Twelve persons are missing from a passenger boat which struck a railroad bridge pier and sank in the middle of the Ohio River near Wheeling, Virginia.
