On learning that the self-elected Vichy government had taken away his nationality, M. Maurice Dejean, National Commissioner for Foreign Affairs in the Free French National Committee, said: “To be denaturalised by the henchmen of the enemy is a certificate of patriotism. I am proud of it. I remain more French than ever.” A new method of keeping air in rooms blasted out of rock sufficiently dry to prevent condensation on walls and goods stored has been reported by Swedish manufacturers to the United States Department of Agriculture. In the process, moisture is extracted from the air through condensation on cold metal surfaces which are cooled through a refrigerating compressor, the condenser of which is used for re-: heating the air.
