AIR LOSSES
HEAVILY AGAINST GERMANS ON THE EASTERN FRONT. FIGURES FOR LAST WEEK. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 1.15 p.m.) RUGBY, March 16. Tonight’s Russian communique states: “On March 16 Soviet troops waged offensive operations against German Fa'scist troops and occupied several localities. On March 14, 28 German planes were destroyed and on the following day 17 were destroyed. Our losses were 5 planes. On March 16, 3 German planes were shot down near Moscow. In the period March Bto March 14, 215 German planes were destroyed. Our losses were 57.”
