RACING DATES. FOR REST OF SEASON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The executive committee of the New Zealand Racing Conference has approved of the following dates for meetings to be held subsequent to June 6,“and before the opening of the new season on August 1: — June 13 —Hawke’s Bay J.C. June 20—Ashburton C.R.C.; Waipa R.C.; Manawatu R.C. June 27— Manawatu R.C.; Whangarei J.c. . , July 4 —Dannevirke H.C.; Wellington R.C. July 11—Wellington R.C. July 18 —Waimate H.C.; Manawatu H.C. July 25—South Canterbury H.C.; Rangitikei H.C.; Rotorua R.C. August I—Christchurch H.C. The Hawke’s Bay Hunt Club’s meeting scheduled for July 4 is not likely to be held till the new season. The Poverty Bay Turf Club meeting which Was set down for May 2 and 9, has been abandoned. The Marlborough Racing Club will hold a one-day meeting on May 2 or 9, thus forfeiting one day’s racing. The Bay of Plenty Racing Club will not be able to race on June 13, as its course will not be available.
MANAWATU MEETING. The acceptances for the Manawatu Racing Club’s meeting which will be held on the Marton Racecourse on Saturday, March 21, will close tonight at 9 o’clock.
