ALERT IN LONDON

FIRST SINCE LAST JUNE ENEMY PLANES CROSS COAST. BUT NO BOMBS DROPPED. LONDON. March 16. London had its first daylight alert today since the middle of last June. It proved to be a false alarm. Three enemy planes crossed the south coast and one flew some distance inland. There are no reports of bombs having been dropped.
