TRUST AFFAIRS
BUSINESS AT LAST NIGHT'S MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust was held last night, the chairman, Mr H. P. Hugo, presiding over a full attendance of members. The Masterton Dental Clinic advised that the subsidy allowed to the committee was £25 per nurse per annum. This allowance did not permit of rent being paid and the committee asked for the Trust's policy in regard to the rent of the premises to be defined. The Trust agreed to pay the rent, amounting to £B3 4s. The treasurer reported a credit balance of £1558 15s sd. Acounts totalling £l5 6s, grants amounting to £246 4s 6d and property account payments totalling £1328 17s 6d were passed. On the recommendation of the finance committee the Trust agreed that a national savings account should be opened and that £215 ss, a sum which had been on fixed deposit on account of the Winter Show Fund, be deposited in the account, together with £lOO set aside as a deposit for the Winter' Show Fund for this financial year.
