ROYAL TANK REGIMENT. AND NEW ZEALAND BRIGADE. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Minister of Defence (Mr Jones) anounced that the King has been graciously pleased to approve of an alliance between the Royal Tank Regiment and the New Zealand Army Tank Brigade. The Minister said that, in addition to the alliance, the Royal Tank Regiment had kindly agreed to the New Zealand Army Tank Brigade using the colours of their Allied Regiment, including the tie, as well as the march of the Royal Tank Regiment, “Our Willie.” The colours of the Royal Tank Regiment are brown, red and green. This alliance and the extension of privileges associated with it,” concluded Mr Jones, “will be greatly appreciated by all ranks of the New Zealand Army Tank Brigade.”
