PERSONAL

The Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer, Minister of Health, returned to Wellington yesterday from the South Island. Dr. R. G. Simmers has been granted the temporary rank of squadron leader in the Royal New Zealand Air Force. Mrs G. H. Davey, New Plymouth,, and Mrs A. M. Carroll, Wellington, are visiting their mother, Mrs J. L. Murray, Church Street, Masterton. Mr J. Robertson, M.P, is today accompanying the Hon. H. G. R. Mason, Minister of Education, to Aohanga to open a new native school there. Mr Robertson will return to Masterton on Monday. Mr C. G. Camp, Wellington, has been appointed a member of the Industrial Emergency Council. The Minister of Labour stated yesterday that Mr Camp’s knowledge and experience in industrial matters would contribute substantially to the deliberations of the council.
