SOLWAY RAINFALL

RECORD FOR FEBRUARY. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that rain was measured at Solway on 16 days in February. The maximum fall was 1.10 inches on the 20th, and the minimum 1 point on. the 13th and 18tn. The total for the month was 2.84 inch-! es as compared with 3.94 (1941), 1.83 (1940), .56 (1939), 4.95 (1938), and 3.05 (1937). The average for 39 years is 2.93 inches. The rainfall for the two months of this year was 77.54 inches as against 7.55 (1941), 3.99 (1940), 1.14 (1939), 9.62 (1938), 7.42 (1937). The average for 39 years is 5.60 inches.
