The Rome radio stated that a long personal message, signed by M. Stalin, arrived for the Pope a few days ago. Vatican quarters are silent regarding its contents. The Vatican buildings were beflagged yesterday for the Pope’s birthday. The day was also the anniversary of his accession. Official celebrations will be held on March 12.
