OPERATING IN LIBYA MET BY BRITISH FIGHTERS. ENEMY SHIPPING IN TRIPOLI AGAIN BLASTED. LONDON, March 3. In Libya yesterday enemy aircraft attacks on our troops in the forward area were heavier than usual. Our fighters went up to meet the raiders. One enemy plane was destroyed and others badly damaged. Last night enemy planes dropped bombs in the Suez Canal area. Night fighters shot down one enemy plane and another when last seen was flying over the sea with one engine on fire. Shipping in Tripoli was again attacked by our bombers on Mondaynight. Several fires were left burning. From.-all these operations five of our planes are missing but three of the pilots are safe.
