PARK CLUB. COMPETITION GAMES. The following games have been played in connection with the Masterton Park Club’s competitions during the past week: —Championship singles: Semi-final: H. Smith beat P. Trevorrow, 20/19;. Final: H. Carr defeated H. Smith, 17/11. Championship fours: Trevorrow, Braggins, E. Brown and H. Smith (s) defeated Andrews, Duckworth, Fenton and Dixon (s), 21/19. Thompson Cup: H. Thompson beat W. Drummond, 27/16. Colts’ singles (Spackman Cup): G. Brown beat Heath, 20/11; P. Thompson beat McErlich, 25/17; P. Thompson beat Darvill, 23/14. Keetley Medals: A. Faulknor and G. Brown (s) defeated the holders, White and Shearer (s), 23/18. Grady Medals (Centre pairs): The holders, Kilgour and H. Thompson (s) lost to Simmonds and Sorensen (s) Carterton, 25/21. During the weekend a Carterton four, Messrs A. Thompson, L. Curtis, F. Harrington and R. Thompson (s) were the guests of a Park team comprising C. Andrews, B. Braggins, C. Leigh and H. Smith (s) and in a game of 25 ends the former won by a comfortable margin after a most enjoyable game. On Saturday next, two games of 15 ends will be played between the New Zealanders and the Rest, and members are requested to place their names on. v lhe board by Friday.
