“A WOMAN’S FACE.” “A Woman’s Face” brings Joan Crawford, Melvyn Douglas, and Conrad Veidt to the Regent Theatre tonight in one of the most powerful and completely different dramas the screen has seen for a long time. new picture is hailed as a brilliant combination of characterisation, thrills, suspense, and unusual romance. Miss Crawford plays the disfigured Anna Holm. Melvyn Douglas has the role of the surgeon who restores her beauty, while rearing he is loosing a fiend upon society, but who later ngures in her regeneration. Conrad Veidt has a powerful role as -the criminal madman.
