ROUND GERMANS AT STARAYA RUSSA VAIN EFFORTS TO BREAK OUT. ENEMY RESERVES FACING DESTRUCTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, February 27. Reports from the Staraya Russa front emphasise that the position of the encircled German forces is rapidly growing worse. The Germans, in addition to rushing up the 81st Division from France, brought up the 18th Motorised Division from Tikhvin, but both face destruction. Moreover the German Fifth Division is in danger of being cut off. The Germans were are doing their utmost to save at least some troops, but so far none have broken out of the irong ring.
