Charles Boyer’s Accent.

The next first aid lecture will be given on Tuesday, March 10, and thereafter every second Tuesday. Goods Notification.

The need for prompter notification to consignees of the presence of goods on the wharves, thus assisting importers in obtaining earlier delivery and tending to reduce congestion, was referred to at a meeting of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce yesterday. It was suggested that for the duration of the war the harbour board might assume responsibility for notification to consignees within a fortnight of the presence of goods on the wharves and that a register be compiled showing existing importers’ marks with a view to assisting clearance fr'om the wharves. The proposals were approved, and the harbour board is to be approached.
