CROQUET - SAUNDERS CUP MATCH. (“Times-Age” Special.) In a Saunders Cup croquet match yesterday the games resulted as follows: —Mesdames Saunders and White beat Mesdames O’Neal and K. Donald; Mesdames Saunders and White beat Mesdames Benton and Batcheloi. Home Guard Parade. There was a good attendance at the weekly parade of the Home Guard. An interesting talk on health and sanitation in the field was given by Sgt. Tetsall, army instructor, after which night field manoeuvres were carried out about a mile out of town. Personal Items. Mrs Kershaw (Hataitai), Mrs Kershaw, Junr. (Wadestown), and Miss Vera Bayliss (Island Bay) are the guests of Mrs C. C. Corlet, Pahautea. Miss M. Bloxam left yesterday for Dunedin where she will take a University Home Science course. COSY THEATRE TONIGHT'S PROGRAMME. Fun, romance and thrills will be found in “Her First Beau, featuiing Jane Withers, and approved for Universal Exhibition, which will be the presentation at the Cosy Theatre tonight.
