TRAINED NURSES

WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION MEETING IN MASTERTON LAST NIGHT. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The Wairarapa Trained Nurses’ Association held its first meeting of the year last night in Masterton, when there was a very large attendance of members from all parts of the Wairarapa. Among the visitors welcomed was Miss M. Hitchman, who had recently returned from Egypt. Several interesting letters were read from members of the Association who are now serving overseas. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —President, Miss Grant; vice-presidents, Miss Higginson and Mrs W. James; secretary, Miss M. Brown; treasurer, Miss Meredith. After the business of the meeting had been disposed of, a very interesting demonstration was given on the uses of the triangular bandage. Supper was served as the close of the meeting.
