BRITAIN’S WINTER
COLDEST FOR CENTURY. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, February 21. Britain's present winter is among the coldest in the last 50 years, and the third in succession to produce exceptionally severe frosts and record snowfalls. Between January 1 and February 12 the temperature twenty times dropped below zero, including twice 10 degrees below. Since the outbreak of the war Britain has passed through the coldest weather cycle of the present century.
