THE THANKSGIVING APPEAL. GOOD RESPONSE REPORTED. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The report of the Supernumerary Fund, presented at the Methodist Conference today, showed that there ate now 42 superannuitants and 40 widows in receipt of annuities. The accumulated funds now stand at £151,214. The thanksgiving appeal, for £120,000, had reached a total of over £85,000, reported the Dominion Organiser, the Rev. A. J. Johnston. It was stated that the appeal was meeting with a ready response, and that, with a complete canvass of the Dominion, the objective would be reached. The Conference pledged the support of the Church to the work of the New Zealand Alliance.
