The Parliamentary Labour Party discussed the political situation at a meeting at which the view was strongly expressed that there must be a smaller war cabinet, composed of Ministers without departmental duties. The "Evening standard" says it is understood that Mr Churchill has brought Sir Stafford Cripps and Mr O. Lyttelton into the War Cabinet, Lord Beaverbrook', Mr Arthur Greenwood and Sir Kingsley Wood are leaving. The Press Association states that the size of the War Cabinet is being considerably reduced. It will be composed of Ministers without departmental duties. Sir Archibald Sinclair may be given a new post.
