CIVIL BUSINESS
MASTERTON MAGISTRATE’S COURT. The following civil cases were dealt with by Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., in the Masterton Magistrate’s Court today:— Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following undefended cases:—Reliance Tire and Rubber Co., Ltd. v. W. Thomas, £1 13s 6d, costs 10s; N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Dist. Co., Ltd. v. Roy Simpson, £7 12s 3d, costs £1 12s 6d; Joseph Charles Ewington v. Leonard William Voice, £2B 10s, costs £4 12s 6d and possession of tenement forthwith. In defended cases, Oliver Gemmell v. Richard Thompson, claim £7, judgment was given for plaintiff for £3 4s, costs 15s. Sarah Ann Nix and William Adlam v. W. Simpson, claim £l9 2s 6d, judgment for plaintiffs for amount claimed, with costs £3 3s, and possession of tenement forthwith. No order was made in a judgement summons case, A. W. Gibbs v. Robert Baikie, claim £35 10s.
