Tonight’s picture, “Whistling in the Dark,” presents a comedian famous on the stage but comparatively new to the screen. Adapted from the Broadway stage hit, the picture offeis fast-talking Red Skelton a role in which he makes good his reputation of “funniest man on the stage” by extending his reputation to the screen. Fie is ably assisted by Conrad Veidt, Ann Rutherford and Henry O’Neill in one of the best comedies ever brought to the screen. There is a strong supporting programme.
