MASTERTON CLUB. CARNIVAL LAST NIGHT. The Masterton Swimming Club held a successful carnival last night at which a number of soldiers competed. There was a good attendance of the public. D. H. Eves gave a splendid exhibition of diving. The following were the results: — Junior boys, 25 yards handicap: R. Oakley 1, B. Blackwood 2, M. Gleeson 3. Junior boys, 75 yards championship: K. Masters 1, G. Masters 2, R. Oakley 3. Junior girls, 25 yards handicap: M. Stewart 1, M. Cruickshank 2, Y. Ihaka 3. Junior girls, 50 yards championship: M. Cruickshank 1, M. Stewart 2, Y. Ihaka 3. 100 yards breaststroke: Cairns 1, Bracegirdle 2, B. McHattie 3. 50 yards intermediate girls’ handicap: N. Stains 1, B. Hugo 2, J. Smith 3. 50 yards soldiers’ championship: Somerville 1, McGinnity 2, E. Kay 3. 50 yards primary school championship: N. Desmond 1, H. Leighton 2, R. Oakley 3. 50 yards men’s handicap: First heat, J.
