* MR NASH PRESENTS HIS CREDENTIALS. PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT’S ASSURANCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, February 16. The New Zealand Minister, Mr Nash, presented his credentials to President Roosevelt today. Mr Roosevelt assured Mr Nash that A.merica would not falter until the task of complete freedom was secured. “Both the United States and New Zealand,” he said, “are Pacific Powers, and the interests of the two countries are inextricably woven together. The spread of wanton aggression has only drawn our countries closer and made us more conscious of our interdependence.” Mr Nash told the President that New Zealand is grateful for America’s splendid assistance and co-operation in , the fight for freedom. “No man 1 have met knows more about the needs of the southern Pacific than President Roosevelt,” said Mr Nash. ..“As a result of my talk with him, I am satisfied that whatever it is ■ physically possible for him to do to ; enable the southern Pacific area to be ( cared for in this crisis he will do.” I
