PARK CLUB. CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITIONS. Great interest has been taken in the Masterton Park Club’s championship games, which have now reached the final stages, and some good bowling should be seen during the next week or so. The championship pairs have been completed, R. Wallace and W. Kilgour (s), the winners, played very good bowls throughout the contest. Results:-— Champion singles: E. Brown lost to P. Trevorrow, 15/16. Champion pairs:—Semi-final: Wallace and Kilgour beat Moore and O’Donnell, 27/22. Final: Wallace and Kilgour beat Carr and Shearer, 24/23.
Champion fours: H. Smith’s four will meet F. Dixon’s four in the final. Thompson Cup:—Handicap singles: Spackman beat Kilgour, 19/13; H. Thompson beat Duckworth, 25/17; H. Thompson beat Macpherson, 18/13. Spackman Cup (colts); McErlich beat Davies, 18/17; G. Brown beat Darvill, 29/10. Ferns: Kilgour and H. Thompson (holders) beat Braggins and E. Brown, 26/17. | Keatley Medals: White and Shearer beat P. Thompson and Trevorrow (holders), 23/18. Ex-Borough employees, Buckley, Denbee, Braggins, H. Carr (s) lost to Park employees, Trevorrow. P. Thompson, Knowles, Ihaka (s), 18/19.
