meeting of governors. SCHOOL HEATING SYSTEM. A decision to approach the Education Department, requesting it to improve the heating system at the Col-/ lege, was made by the Wairarapa College’ Board of Governors at its meeting hist night. Mr W. R. Nicol (chairman) presided. • The Wairarapa Hospital Board advised that the College or the Hostel would only be taken over in the event of an extreme emergency. The staff was congratulated on the results of the examinations. It was agreed that fire drill should be started at once. , ■ Tire works committee was authorised to attend to the blackout of the college buildings. Leave of absence for the duration of the war was granted to Messrs J. H. Conly, J. K. Brown and H. P. Glen. It was decided to forward a letter of appreciation to Messrs S. R. Divers and L. Sutton for their assistance in connection with the college farm. Satisfaction was expressed with the result of the sale of lambs and wool from the farm. , The chairman’s action in allowing the use of the baths at certain hours by the military was approved.
