CONCERT PARTY

PERFORMANCE AT MEMORIAL PARK.

On Saturday night, Mrs E. J. Rich’s concert party gave an outstanding performance at the Memorial Park. Items were contributed by Miss P. Gill and her girls’ chorus, songs by Miss Doreen Jamieson and Mr R. Gilbert, poi dances and songs by Mrs Te Tau’s Women’s War Auxiliary Party, sketches by Messrs Kent Johnston and W. McMinn, the community singing was led by Mr McMinn, and a ballet by Miss Enid Thompson. A tap dance was of particular merit. Mrs J. Dickson played the accompaniments.

Supper was served arid the performers thanked for their entertaining programme. The occasion was the fourth concert given by Mrs Rich’s concert party, Saturday night’s performance being the first one under the jurisdiction of the local Patriotic Committee.
