ATTACK ON MANNHEIM

MADE BY BRITISH BOMBERS TARGET FOUND IN THICK WEATHER. MACHINES OF LATEST TYPE EMPLOYED.

LONDON, February 15. R.A.F. bombers which last night attacked the big Rhineland city of Mannheim had to fly through thick clouds. Flashes of bombs exploding on the target were observed. Though the force of aircraft employed in this attack was not large, it included some of the latest bombers. Other targets in the Rhineland were also attacked. One of our bombers is missing and one Coastal Command plane is missing from patrol operations.
