NEWSPRINT SUPPLY
FURTHER CUT IN BRITAIN.
(Bv Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.45 P- m -) LONDON, February 13. A cut in newsprint is being imposed on February 15. It will be on the basis of ten per cent of the present permitted tonnage for each paper, and means that newspapers and periodicals will consume about nineteen pet cent of their pre-war figures. A shipping shortage from Canada is mainly responsible for the cut.
