JAPANESE DIPLOMAT’S DEATH. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, February 12. The German radio has announced the death of Mr Sotomatsu Kato, who was appointed Japanese Ambassador to Vichy just over a year ago. He was in his room at the Japanese Embassy at Paris, when he had an attack which is described as a shortage of breath. He leaned too far out of the window and fell into the yard. He was taken to hospital, but died. Mr Kato was formerly Consular Ambassador in Washington and London.
