WELLINGTON CLUB TWO-DAY AUTUMN MEETING. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Wellington Racing Club has been granted permission to hold a two-day autumn meeting at Trentham on Saturday, March 7, and Saturday, March 14. The programme will comprise seven races each day, the events deleted being /the Trial Handicap on the first day, and the Hutt Handicap on the second day. The Thompson Handicap and the St. Leger Stakes and North Island Challenge Stakes, which are always on the Wellington autumn programme, will be included. There is to be no reduction in stakes. TURF TOPICS. P. Burgess will ride Imperium. Soutane. Autoscore, Kentucky. Dungloe, Kevin and Wildfire at Otaki tomorrow. Moderate, 8.8, was omitted from the list of acceptors for the Pukehou Hack Handicap, to be run at Otaki tomorrow. The secretary of the Woodville Jockey Club advises that the entry of Flying Spy was erroneously omitted from the entries for the Woodville Cup to be run on Saturday, February 21. As the fault was not that of the owner, the entry has been accepted.
