REGENT THEATRE
“NEW YORK TOWN.” “New York Town,” Paramount's allstar comedy drama which will be shown tonight is’ a gay comedy of life in the Big Town—especially among those folks who make up the majority of the city’s heartbeats. Fred MacMurray appears' as a sidewalk photographer whose only interest in life is to click with his customers and find new angles to outsmart the world. Mary Martin is the small town girl on whom Fred focuses all his attention in a brotherly sort of way until Robert Preston, wealthy young playboy, gives him some competition. A brilliant associate programme includes “Lasso Wizards,” “Find What’s Wrong,” a cartoon, and the Regent Air Mail News.
