MOVING UP IN SMOLENSK AREA Preparations for Coining Major Offensive SOVIET TROOPS ADVANCING NIGHT AND DAY GERMANS BEING HARRIED IN REAR (By Telegraph—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 11.55 a.m.) LONDON, February 3. Large concentrations of well trained and fully equipped Russian reserves are moving up to the front line in the Smolensk area, for the next phase of the coming major offensive, reports the Moscow radio. Ski troops and light mobile units are constantly harassing the German positions from the rear. ■‘•he Russians on the Moscow front, advancing by day and night, have liberated scores of inhabited places and captured large quantities of material.
