SOLDIERS ENTERTAINED
MASTERTON CONCERT PARTY. Soldiers were entertained last night by a concert party, which was given a most enthusiastic reception. The programme, which had been arranged by Miss Pat Gill and others, was greatly appreciated by those present. Items were contributed by the following: Miss Gill’s chorus girls, a sketch by the Masterton Savage Club, pois and songs by Mrs Te Tau’s Maori Women’s War Auxiliary, songs by Misses Doreen Jamieson, Rose Robinson and Mr J. Connell, piano-accor-dion by Miss Jean Mac Kay, tap dance by Miss Olwyn Jones. Community singing was led by Mr W. McMinn. The accompaniste was Mrs J. Dickson. A similar performance was given by the same party on Saturday night and others are to follow elsewhere.
