ENEMY RAIDER ON BRITISH EAST COAST BOMBER OF LATEST TYPE. NAZI FIGHTER SHARES SAME FATE. LONDON, February 2. An enemy bomber was shot down off the east coast of V.ngland this afternoon and an enemy fighter was destroyed during an offensive patrol over the French coast. The bomber was one of Germany’s latest long-range aircraft. It was shot down after a 20 minute chase in and out of the clouds. It went into the sea with one engine on fire and smoke coming from the other.
